Composer and improviser, multi-instrumentalist. Graduated from St. Petersburg State Conservatory, department of composition (2014), received PhD in Art History from the Vaganova Ballet Academy (2018). Co-founder, performer and art director at {instead} ensemble. Participant of the 5th and 8th International Academy of Young Composers in Tschaikovsky, took part in the Forum “Music of Today (ГЭЗ-21), and numerous festivals - “The Other Space”, “Sound Paths”, “World of Sound”, “Music Time: Findesiècle”, “ProToArt”, Spina!Fest, “From Avantgarde to Present Days”. Composer-in-residence for GAM Ensemble (2019). Composer-in-residence for European Art Centre Hellerau (2020). Writes music for the Alexandrinsky Theatre and St. Petersburg Lensoveta Academic Drama Theatre.
“This piece evolved from a few measures of “The Crystal Ship The Doors” song. Its instrumental base encompasses the harmony of the measures, and its electronic part consists of elements derived from the song with a little bit of soundscape coming from outside of my window.”
